On June 26, in response to the requirements of the research work for the learning and education campaign on fostering and practicing a correct view of performance, Chen Mei, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), paid a research visit to the Inner Mongolia Society for Electrical Engineering. The two sides exchanged views on Party building, organizational development, academic events, talent training, science popularization and publicity, solicited opinions and suggestions, and deepened communication and collaboration. Yan Jun, Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Society for Electrical Engineering, and Lü Dianming, Vice Chairman, attended the forum.

Yan Jun extended a warm welcome to the CSEE delegation. He briefed the visitors on the work progress of the Inner Mongolia Society for Electrical Engineering, and talked about difficulties and challenges encountered in its operations. He hoped that CSEE would provide stronger guidance to the Inner Mongolia branch, boost resource sharing, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly host more high-quality academic activities, and contribute to scientific and technological innovation and high-quality development of the energy and power sector.

Chen Mei stated that it is vital to thoroughly implement the requirements set forth in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on fostering and practicing a correct view of performance, and drive high-quality development through high-quality Party building. The Society should fully leverage its platform advantages, continuously expand the depth of academic exchanges and the reach of science popularization work, so as to further elevate its academic leadership capacity and role as an innovation source. It is necessary to strengthen responsibility-taking, improve the collaborative working mechanism, steadily enhance the Society’s service capacity, cohesion and influence, and make greater contributions to building China into a country strong in science and technology and a country strong in energy.
