On May 22, the National Energy Administration released the national electric power industry statistics for the period from January to April.

As of the end of April, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity reached 3.49 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation was 990 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 47.7%; the installed capacity of wind power was 540 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 18.2%.

From January to April, the cumulative average utilization hours of national power generation equipment were 1,008 hours, a decrease of 103 hours compared with the same period last year; major power generation enterprises in the country completed an investment of 193.3 billion yuan in power source projects, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%; and investment in power grid projects reached 140.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%.
