2025 marks the 143rd anniversary of the availability of electricity in China and the 20th anniversary of China's establishment of the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. To fully implement the strategic arrangements of the Party Central Committee on building a culturally strong country and advancing new-type industrialization, give play to the resource advantages of energy and power enterprises, strengthen the protection and utilization of electric power industrial heritage, inherit industry culture and carry forward the electric power spirit, the China Electricity Council (hereinafter referred to as "CEC") held the 2025 "China Electric Power Theme Day" event in Jilin City on July 26, with the theme of "Carrying Forward the Torch of Industry and Illuminating the Path of Spirit".

It has played a significant role in connecting historical memories, uniting industrial spirit, and empowering innovative practices across various historical stages.

Xin Baoan emphasized that 2025 is the concluding year of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and a crucial year for laying a solid foundation to ensure a good start for the "15th Five-Year Plan". The power industry bears heavy responsibilities and faces a series of new situations, tasks, and challenges, such as implementing the "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" goals and accelerating the construction of a new power system. It is essential to further strengthen cultural confidence, adhere to maintaining integrity while pursuing innovation, and guide the wave of reform with new development concepts. Efforts should be made to dig deep into the cultural treasures of power industry heritage, extract the essence of historical wisdom, activate the genes of innovative development, and vigorously promote the power spirit of "loyalty and dedication, seeking truth and innovation, striving for excellence, and contributing light". This will inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of the power industry and make new and greater contributions to comprehensively advancing the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.
