Reporters learned from the National Energy Administration that in the first half of this year, the investment completed in key national energy projects that are either under construction or planned to start within the year exceeded 1.5 trillion yuan, representing a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 21.6%. The YoY growth rates of investment completed in the eastern, central, and western regions all surpassed 20%, with new energy investments increasingly converging towards "green and innovative" sectors.
Investment in new energy power generation maintained rapid growth. In H1, the investment completed in onshore wind power projects in Guangxi and Xinjiang doubled compared with the same period last year. Investment in centralized photovoltaic (PV) projects rose by 24.5% YoY, while that in distributed PV projects surged by over 70% YoY. Investment in solar thermal power generation nearly doubled from the corresponding period last year.
Investment in power supply guarantee continued to expand. In H1, investment in sectors such as coal-fired power and nuclear power maintained relatively fast growth. A number of key supporting coal-fired power projects for power supply guarantee in East China, Central China, and western Inner Mongolia were completed and put into operation. Investment in areas including power grids and pumped storage remained steadily growing.
Investment in new energy formats was released at an accelerated pace. In H1, investment in key hydrogen energy projects doubled, with multiple under-construction green hydrogen projects in Jilin advancing at a faster speed. Investment in charging and battery swapping infrastructure increased by nearly 70% YoY. Investment in new energy storage projects and integrated source-grid-load-storage projects both rose by more than 30% YoY.
Investment from private enterprises in the energy sector grew rapidly, with the investment completed in H1 increasing by 27.8% YoY. Private enterprises accelerated investment in distributed PV and onshore wind power, with investment completed in these sectors rising by over 40% YoY. Their investment in charging and battery swapping infrastructure, centralized PV, and other sectors grew by approximately 15% YoY.(Reporter: Ding Yiting)
